Can MailTracker identify emails as being opened from me?

If you open the email from your browser where the extension is installed, MailTracker will identify that and will not track the opening.

But if you open the email from another browser or your mobile, where the extension is missing, We'll consider it as an open email.

Why does Mailtracker say my email was not opened when I know it was?

Accepted Answer

Here are two recurring reasons why an email may not track an opening:

Some email recipients may prevent images from being downloaded or displayed. Since tracking works by adding an invisible image, it disables tracking. This action is not set by default, but it is possible in Gmail to require a "Requester confirmation before displaying external images".
Some browser extensions or additional software products may also block the tracking pixel’s loading.

Please also note that if you are sending yourself emails to test the tracking, this will not work. MailTracker prevents senders from triggering tracking events from their own emails.

How to turn off the tracking with Mailtracker?

When you send an email from Gmail with MailTracker installed, tracking is on by default.

However, you can easily disable it to prevent email tracking. To do this: just click the MailTracker icon at the bottom of each compose window in Gmail.

The icon is green: the tracking is activated
The icon is black: the tracking is deactivated

Why don't I have the recipient's location?

For privacy reasons, our email tracker does not capture the location of your recipients. It only gives you the time the email was opened, how many times, and the type of device (desktop, mobile, or tablet).
